Results of this race determined the US Mountain Running Team. For the men this includes Max King, Joe Gray, Jared Scott, Ryan Woods, Matt Byrne and Tommy Manning. The women's team members are Kasie Enman, Megan (Lund) Lizotte , Brandy Erholtz, Michele Suszek (both are listed in order of their finish). The team will go on to compete in Tirana, Albania on September 11 in the World Mountain Running Championships. Almost 250 people from across the country competed in the championship event
