Twelve years ago I started a new job and quickly learned about the subculture of the business traveler. Legions of people leave their families each week to earn a living. They board planes, rent cars, sleep in hotels and eat in restaurants so that things are sold, people are trained, projects are managed, systems are repaired and consultations are facilitated. Lives lived on the road are the drive shaft of our economy.
